BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (SILICON BMS™) BMS Plus |
| The SILICON BMS™ was designed in 1989 with all the different specifications and tenders in mind. Silicon Engineering took all the available specifications at the time and wrote software to accommodate all our customers. The new SILICON BMS™ Plus was revised with newer technology and used the existing specification obtained over the past 20 years. |

| This gives you, the customer, your necessary required specifications for your charging requirements plus more. | |||||
| The numerous battery technologies (Plante, Tubular, Flat plate, High Antmony, Low Antmony, Vartabloc, Semi-Sealed, VRLA, Lead Calcium, Lead Tin, Vented Nickel Cadmium Pocket Plate, Sealed Nickel Cadmium Pocket Plate available today are less tolerant of incorrect charger settings and operator abuse than in the past. These reflect in shorter service life and higher maintenance requirements with degrading of system reliability. | |||||
| The SILICON BMS™ is a control and monitoring system for battery chargers to ensure the correct battery manufacturer's settings are applied to the battery charger. The SILICON BMS™ alarms when any condition is abnormal or out of specification. The SILICON BMS™ improves DC system reliability and optimises battery service life while reducing maintenance to a minimum. SILICON BMS™ is fully automatic and is ideal for remote or difficult to maintain battery sites or where battery expertise is limited. | |||||

The keypad was redesigned, as its predecessor was post cell phone era. The new
keypad is more user friendly and more reliable. If you have an alarm present,
you can find out by pressing "MENU SELECT" located on the right hand side and
follow the user instruction menus further.
